Owner note (delete before publishing): the original website states that the deposit is non-refundable if the customer cancels or does not proceed. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers who book online usually have a 14-day right to cancel a service contract. If they ask for the visit to take place within those 14 days, they can still cancel but you may keep a proportionate amount for the service already provided. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 a deposit must not be unfairly high compared with your real loss. Please have this policy reviewed so that the “non-refundable” wording is applied fairly (for example after the visit has taken place, or for late cancellations).
Our deposit
- To confirm your visit we require a £20 deposit.
- This amount will be deducted from the final price if we agree and you proceed with the clean.
- If you cancel or do not proceed, the deposit is non-refundable, except where the law gives you a right to a refund (see below).
Your legal right to cancel
If you are a consumer and booked online, by phone or away from our premises, you may have the right to cancel within 14 days of booking without giving a reason. If you asked us to carry out the visit within those 14 days and the visit has already taken place, you may not get the deposit back, because it covers the visit already provided. To cancel, contact us at info@brumclean.uk or on 07462 151448 with your name and booking date. [CONFIRM HOW AND WHEN REFUNDS ARE PAID, e.g. within 14 days to the original payment method].
If we cancel
If we cancel or cannot attend, your deposit will be refunded in full or moved to a new date of your choice.
